Set on a private Seward Park drive, this modern luxury home was reimagined from a modest mid-century footprint. Built on the original foundation, the new home springs skyward to maximize the building site and lake views. What was once a 2 bed/2 bath home, is now a 5 bed, 5 bath estate, with nearly 5000 square feet of living space, and generous terraced grounds. High ceilings, oversized windows, and many skylights, showcase the views and bring in an abundance of natural light throughout the home. A cantilevered 2nd story creates ample space for 4 bedrooms, two of which are suites. This design choice serves to both cover the walkways and patio, and privatize the manicured green space. Integrated slat screening complements the sleek vertical black stained cedar siding, and creates an intimate courtyard with a very Zen feel. The 800 square feet of sprawling rooftop view-deck can be reached via an elegantly suspended exterior steel staircase, which is accessed from both the kitchen and oversized primary. From this level, panoramic lake, Eastside, and Cascade views surround you, and provide an exquisite backdrop for lavish entertaining and relaxing.
